Takapuna runner Brent Godfrey completed the Rotorua Marathon in an excellent time of 2:40:56.

Brent placed 6th overall in the Marathon and 2nd place in the M35-39 category behind overall winner Malcolm Hicks.

As Rotorua Marathon was also the National Marathon Championship, Brent also takes the Silver medal for the M35-39.
